Thursday: It's been a wild week of weather this week, that's for sure!
Today we expect morning rain with pockets of sleet to change over to snow from Nashville east southeast and south.
Approximate ETA: Starting late morning to the south and around midday from Nashville eastward.
Accumulations are likely in towns like Cookeville, Gainsboro, Livingston, Smithville, Sparta, McMinnville, Manchester, Shelbyville, Lewisburg, Fayetteville, Winchester, and surrounding areas. See the map.
In Nashville we may see a dusting on the very back edge of the precipitation.
However, only a slight shift in the track of the low pressure center could change where the heaviest accumulations occur.
In the Metro area, temperatures should stay above freezing until around sunset, but once the sun goes down, slick roads area possible where snow occurs.
In areas to the east/south/southeast where heavy snow falls, slick roads could occur during the afternoon through tonight and tomorrow morning.
