South Carolina ends Vandy women's win streak at 9 games
COLUMBIA, S.C. -
If the Vanderbilt women were on fire headed to South Carolina the Lady Gamecocks completely extinguished them. USC routed Vanderbilt 64-48 Thursday night in Columbia.
The Commodores red hot offense struggled to score all night against the Gamecocks defense. South Carolina ranks third nationally giving up 47.4 points per game and Vandy managed just a little bit over that.
The Dores offensive woes started immediately as they managed only 20 first half points.
USC used a 25-5 first half run to blow it open and never look back.
The Commodores fall to (12-4,2-1), they host Arkansas Sunday at Memorial Gym.
