Fire causes extensive damage to Madison home

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

A Madison home sustained extensive damage after a fire broke out early Thursday afternoon.

The fire was reported around 12:45 p.m. at a home located in the 400 block of Maple Street.

Two adults and two children were inside the home when the fire started. An adult male was transported to an area hospital for treatment for smoke inhalation.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

No additional information was released.
