A 23-year-old Dickson County man was taken into custody by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation Wednesday for the murder of his wife.
Morris Long was arrested following his release from Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Long had been hospitalized since December 22 when he stepped into traffic and was struck by a truck on Interstate 40.
His wife, Ashlee, 21, was discovered beaten to death by her mother and stepfather inside her home located at 106 Bishop Lane the same day.
Morris Long is charged with first degree murder.
He remains jailed in Dickson County.
