Ole Miss blows out Vols at home 92-74

The SEC season started with a thud for Tennessee as the Volunteers were thumped at home by Ole Miss Wednesday night 92-74.

The Volunteers struggled to keep up with the Rebels pace and scoring all night falling behind 38-30 at halftime.

Murphy Halloway was big off the bench for the Rebels with 13 first half points. The star of the night though was the SEC's leading scoring, Ole Miss guard Marshall Henderson.

Henderson lit Tennessee up for 32 points as the Rebels pulled away in the final five minutes.

Jordan McRae led Tennessee with 26 points and Jarnell Stokes chipped in with 15.

The Volunteers fall to 8-5, 0-1 in the Southeastern Conference and go to Alabama Saturday.
