Firefighters in Paris battled a massive fire that broke out at a vacant building located near downtown Wednesday night.According to the Paris Post-Intelligencer, the fire was reported around 6:20 p.m. at 414 North Market Street. The building was reportedly fully engulfed minutes later.
Additional fire departments were called to the scene to help get the blaze under control. Crews remained on the scene for hours battling the fire.
A furniture and antique business was formerly located in the business. It remains unclear what sparked the fire.
According to the Paris Police Department, crews left the scene around 10:30 p.m. but there were still hot spots remaining overnight.
