CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -
Clarksville police arrested two minors after it was discovered they had broken into a home early Tuesday evening.
Police were called to a home in the 600 block of Cleveland Drive after a neighbor reported two unknown males outside the residence.
The caller reported one of the males was attempting to break into a vehicle parked in the driveway, while the other was standing near the home's garage door.
Upon their arrival, police observed a truck had been damaged by someone trying to pry open the door.
Officers also discovered the residence and a shed had also been broken into.
The teens were taken into custody a short time later. During an interview with police, it was determined the 14-year-old had tried to break into the parked truck and had made entry into the home. The 17-year-old had also been involved in making entry into the home.
The teens told police were the stolen items were stashed. The property has since been recovered.
The 14-year-old is charged with aggravated burglary and criminal attempt to commit burglary. The 17-year-old is charged with aggravated burglary.
The juveniles have since been released to their parents.
