CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -

Police arrested a Clarksville woman Friday night amid allegations she was drunk and passed out while she was supposed to be caring for two young children.

According to the incident report, Gladys Bedolla's husband returned to her Tandy Drive apartment to find the children, ages three and four, running around the home.

The report stated a glass table was shattered and there was glass and blood everywhere.

The husband told police he found Bedolla passed out in her bed.

Responding officers reported Bedolla smelled of alcohol and was "easily confused" during questioning.

A case of beer was also found in the kitchen and there were multiple open beer cans scattered about.

Bedolla first told officers her children had been taken to the emergency room.

They were later found in the care of her husband. They were not seriously injured and did not require transport.

Bedolla, 40, was charged with two counts each of aggravated child abuse and neglect and booked into the Montgomery County jail on a $30,000 bond.
