NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

A street dedication ceremony was held Saturday afternoon in honor of Nashville disc jockey Curtis "Scooby" Senior.

The 33-year-old was part of the Dolewite and Scooby show on 101.1 The Beat.  He passed away last February after suffering a heart attack.

The Metro Council approved an ordinance in December to rename a section of 14th Avenue North between Jefferson and Scovel streets to Curtis "Senior" Lane.

A dedication ceremony was held at 2 p.m.

In addition to working as a DJ, Scooby was very active in the Nashville community and involved in several local charities and organizations including the Boys and Girls Club of Nashville.
