Gunshot victim found dead in Springfield crash

SPRINGFIELD, Tenn. -

An investigation is underway in Springfield after a man was found shot death in his wrecked vehicle.

Police say 31-year-old Brian Castelow was shot in the head around 11:30 a.m. Thursday.

He then somehow managed to drive from the shooting scene to the Korner Market on the corner of 5th Avenue and Kinneys Road miles away.

While there he bought a lighter and when asked about the blood on his face, Castelow told a customer he had been shot and then drove off.

Anyone with information is urged to call Springfield police.
