Christopher Selby, 27, was charged Tuesday with attempted first degree murder.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
Metro police arrested a man Tuesday afternoon accused of dangling a woman off a third floor apartment breezeway.
Police were dispatched to the apartment complex located in the 4700 block of Lebanon Pike to find a man later identified as Christopher Selby, 27, arguing with a woman in front of an apartment.
According to an affidavit, as an officer approached, Selby grabbed the woman by her waist and started to push her over the breezeway railing.
The officer pulled out his weapon and ordered Selby to stop.
He complied and was taken into custody without incident.
According to the affidavit, the breezeway railing where the incident occurred is approximately 45 feet off the ground. Had the woman fallen she would've likely been seriously injured or could've died, police said.
Selby was charged with attempted first degree murder and booked into the Metro jail on a $100,000 bond.
