NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
After being admitted to the hospital following Thanksgiving, infant heart transplant recipient Andrew Hagewood was released from the children's hospital on Wednesday.
Andrew's mother posted the news on her Facebook page earlier in the day saying, "After a month here at Vandy, the doctor told us to go home today. Andrew is looking stable and feeling good. We hope we can make it more than four days this time. Thanks for all your support and prayers before our Father."
Andrew was born February 6 with an enlarged heart.
Since his birth, he has spent most of his life at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital in Nashville after receiving a heart transplant in March.
Andrew was discharged from the hospital for a second time in late November but was readmitted a few days later due to complications.
