NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
The man killed in Saturday night's two-vehicle head-on collision in the 900 block of Dr. D.B. Todd Boulevard has been identified as 92-year-old Ford Otey.
Metro police said Otey was a passenger in a 1993 Honda Civic being driven by his son, when the Honda, for reasons not yet determined, crossed the center line and crashed into a Mitsubishi Outlander.
Otey was transported to General Hospital where he died shortly before Midnight.
Otey's son was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in critical condition.
Police said both men were wearing their seatbelts.
The driver of the Mitsubishi, Henry Jackson, 38, was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in non-critical condition.
There was no indication of alcohol or drug involvement at the scene.
The investigation is continuing, police said.
