Man arrested in connection with 2 Kentucky bank robberies

OWENSBORO, Ky. -

A Kentucky man was arrested and charged Sunday for the robberies of two banks in Kentucky.

Weston Hurd, 39, is charged with two counts of aggravated robbery for robbing the Kentucky Telco Bank on October 2 and the First Security Bank on December 28.

According to initial reports, Hurd had a gun during the most recent robbery which took place at 4:15 p.m. Friday at the bank on Frederica Street in Owensboro.

Owensboro police said they received a tip from the public about the identity of the man seen on surveillance cameras.

Henderson police assisted Owensboro detectives in apprehending Herd, who has found at a home in Henderson.

Herd is being held in the Henderson County jail.
