JOELTON, Tenn. -
The Nashville Fire Department is investigating a suspicious house fire in Joelton at Rawlings Road and Clarksville Pike.
Firefighters received a call about the fire around 5:50 a.m. Saturday.
The house was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived.
Fire crews were still putting out hot spots at 7 a.m.
Nashville Fire Chief Ricky Taylor said the cause of the fire is under investigation.
He told Nashville's News 2 there is evidence at the scene that leads them to believe the fire may have been intentionally set.
The house was for sale and no one lived at the home.
No firefighters were hurt battling the blaze.
