MT. JULIET, Tenn. -
The man killed in a crash on Interstate 40 Friday night has been identified.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol said 24-year-old Yusuf Mohamud of Nashville was a passenger in a Honda that was hit when a van crossed the median on I-40 in Wilson County.
The van lost control in the rain and crossed the median near mile marker 228 before colliding with the victim's vehicle, which was traveling east.
Both cars went off the road and into the tree line.
The driver of the Honda and three other passengers were injured in the crash.
The driver of the van was not hurt.
