A nine-year-old girl named Ava Jones and 25 of her classmates from Hendersonville delivered almost 500 pounds of food to Second Harvest Food Bank Friday. The classmates also held a digital food drive where people could donate money online."It just makes you feel really good to help someone," Ava said. Ava told Nashville's News 2 she recently celebrated a birthday and that she had her friends donate to the cause instead of buy a gift. "I'm just happy that they wanted to do that," she said. They raised enough money to provide 2,900 meals to those in need. For more information on Second Harvest Food Bank, visit their Web site.
