NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

A man is in custody after fleeing police Thursday afternoon.

According to investigators, Robert Neisz was pulled over at the Tiger Mart located at the intersection of Brick Church and Trinity Lane.  Before the officer could leave his vehicle, police said Neisz drove off.

Neisz entered I-65 North at Trinity Lane in a silver Toyota Camry traveling at speeds up to 80 miles-per-hour.

Neisz eventually exited onto Old Hickory Boulevard where he ran several red lights, narrowly missing stopped vehicles.  Neisz avoided a set of deployed stop sticks and then stopped at an apartment complex in Madison.

In the parking lot of Lexington Garden apartments, Neisz surrendered.

When asked by police why he fled, he told them he thought he had more warrants out for his arrest in other counties. No other warrants were found.

Upon searching the vehicle, police found a stolen Dell laptop.  Neisz told police he bought the laptop from someone else and he was not the one that stole it.

No other information was released.
