Stores extend hours for hasty holiday rush

FRANKLIN, Tenn. -

Procrastinators hit the mall just hours before time ran out on Sunday.

Retailer like Macy's has been open since Friday morning, not locking the doors once.

While it was relatively quiet inside the store, there were a handful of shoppers in the store at any time, though.

Shopper Amanda Patton says she gets a rush off the last minute hustle.

"You don't have to bump in to anybody," She said. "Nobody is snatching anything out of your hand, and I can get what I need and go home."

Patton says you not only beat the crowds, but there is no traffic, plenty of parking and the discounts are still active.

"They have a one day pass and a good sale going on this morning," she said. "So, I am benefiting from that today."

Sure, the clock is still ticking down faster than ever, but you still have time. Stores will be open on Christmas Eve with limited hours.

Macy's is open until Midnight Sunday, opening again on Christmas Eve at 7 a.m. until 6 p.m.
