A family's home in Rutherford County was destroyed by fire on Saturday in Eagleville, the Daily News Journal reports.
The fire broke out around 3 p.m. When crews arrived to the scene, the home was nearly fully engulfed.
No one was home at the time, but initial reports indicated that a dog may have been inside the home at the time.
Fire crews from Eagleville, Rockvale, College Grove and Chapel Hill battled the blaze for over two hours.
The newspaper reported anything inside the home was likely unsalvageable.
The Red Cross is currently assisting the family.
The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
