Wet roadways kept Metro emergency crews busy Thursday morning after several accidents slowed traffic on interstates throughout Davidson County.
A multi-vehicle crash was reported shortly after 5:30 a.m. on I-65 South at mile marker 90. The roadway was blocked for a little over an hour. It has since cleared.
Traffic was also slow along Interstate 24 in Antioch after a rollover accident.
The accident was reported shortly before 5 a.m. near mile marker 58 where the highway passes over Blue Hole Road.
According to police, as the driver approached the Blue Hole Road overpass, he lost control of the vehicle and hit a guardrail. His car flipped upside down.
The driver was able to get out of the overturned vehicle. He was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.
Three lanes of traffic were shutdown while police waited for a tow truck to remove the car.
The roadway has since reopened.
