The Leaf Chronicle: Noted Clarksvillian dies in N.C. plane crash

PARKTON, NC -

The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating after a former Clarksville physician was killed in a plane crash in North Carolina over the weekend.

The crash involving retired Colonel Virgil "Tom" Deal occurred on Saturday.

Officials said 63-year-old Deal was piloting the plane and was the only person on board when it crashed.

Funeral arrangements were not immediately released.

No additional information was released.
