Clarksville man added to state's 'Most Wanted' list

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation added a Clarksville man to the state's "Most Wanted" list on Wednesday.

Danyon Dowlen is wanted by Clarksville police on an outstanding warrant related to a shooting on September 18 that claimed the life of 50-year-old Charles Sims.

Sims was was found lying in a street with multiple gunshot wounds before he was airlifted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville where he later died. 

Dowlen, 39, was last known to live at 122 West Drive.

He is six feet, two inches tall and weighs 190 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes, as well as tattoos on his abdomen, back, chest, and both arms.

Dowlen is also said to be considered armed and dangerous.

Authorities said Dowlen has a lengthy criminal history that dates back to 1992 and includes drug charges, criminal impersonation and aggravated assault among others.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to contact the TBI at 1-800-TBI-FIND.

A $1,000 reward being offered for information leading to his arrest.
