Hand grenade found at vacant home near Percy Warner Park

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

A hand grenade was found at a vacant home near Percy Warner Park in Nashville late Wednesday afternoon.

The device was discovered at 928 Percy Warner Boulevard off Vaughns Gap Road and Highway 100 just after 2:30 p.m.

Authorities told Nashville's News 2 workers boxing items up inside the home for an estate sale discovered the hand grenade wrapped in a plastic bag.

The device will be analyzed by police.

No additional information was released.
