Derek Miller, 23, was charged with criminal impersonation Tuesday.
CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -
Clarksville police charged a man with criminal impersonation Tuesday for posing as an officer when he pulled over a woman in October.
According to a news release, Derek Miller pulled over the victim for "swerving in and out of traffic without using her turn signals."
The woman told police at the time she believed Miller was indeed a cop.
On December 13, however, she saw the same vehicle in her apartment complex, became suspicious and called police.
The vehicle was quickly located and detectives interviewed Miller, the car's driver.
The 23-year-old was arrested Tuesday after he was positively identified by the victim as the man who initiated the traffic stop in October.
He was charged with criminal impersonation and booked into the Montgomery County jail.
Anyone who may have been pulled over by Miller is urged to call Clarksville police detectives at 931-648-0656.
