SPRINGFIELD, Tenn. -
A Springfield man is dead after a six-hour-long standoff with police.
The incident happened on Friday night when 29-year-old Kevin Hudson threatened to kill his girlfriend several times.
When officers arrived to the scene on RW Gordon Drive, Hudson fired shots at the officers and threatened suicide multiple times.
After six hours, officers deployed tear gas and moved into the home. That is where officers found Hudson with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The investigation is ongoing.
