Emmylou Harris hosts annual 'Miracle on Music Row'

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

On Saturday, legendary music icon Emmylou Harris hosted her third annual pet adoption event "Miracle on Music Row."

The charity event benefits Bonaparte's Retreat, an organization that Harris began in her backyard that is dedicated to providing foster care and homes for shelter animals.

The event kicked off at 10 a.m. at O.liv Body Bar located at 1200 Villa Placewith a parade led by Harris, followed by live performances from the Grammy Award winner in addition to Rodney Crowell, Buddy Miller, Sam Bush, John Hiatt, Mike Farris and Kimmie Rhodes.

Attendees and their pets also had the opportunity to have their photograph made with Santa and participate in a silent auction.

The event also featured numerous dog adoption opportunities, with participation from Bonaparte's Retreat, Metro Nashville Animal Care and Control and the Nashville Humane Society.

The event was free and open to the public, but a $20 donation was suggested.
