Man attacks brother-in-law with machete during argument
John Johnson, 57
CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -
Clarksville police arrested a 57-year-old man on Wednesday night after an argument with his brother-in-law turned physical.
According to a police report, officers were called to a home in the 1000 block of Ishee Drive just before 10 p.m. after a woman reported her husband, John Johnson, had gotten into an altercation with her brother, Andrew Jackson earlier in the evening.
During the disagreement, which is believed to have stemmed from a scratch on a vehicle, Johnson is said to have sliced Jackson's hand with a machete.
Upon their arrival, officers discovered Jackson had several deep lacerations on his fingers.
He was treated on the scene by EMS workers after he declined to go to the hospital.
The machete was seized by police.
Johnson was taken into police custody and is charged with aggravated assault.
