Man sentenced to 12 years for attempted rape of child

Kenneth Cohen received a 12-year sentence Thursday.

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -

A Clarksville man accused of attempted rape of a child last year pleaded no contest on Thursday.

Kenneth Cohen was originally arrested on July 9, 2011 after he admitted to having a sexual relationship with a girl under the age of 12 on several occasions.

Cohen, 48, has remained jailed since his arrest while waiting a trail set for late January.

He was sentenced to 12 years in jail which will be served at 100% confinement.

Following his release he will be placed on the sex offender registry.
