Marriage is a journey that starts with a short walk down the aisle.Cory and Alexis Horton became man and wife in an intimate ceremony Wednesday at the Chapel Event Venue in Nashville."We're not going to forget that anniversary date," the bride told Nashville's News 2 just minutes after exchanging vows.12/12/12 is an easy date to remember for Mr. and Mrs. Horton, and many other couples who chose to tie the knot on the unique day."Since 7/7/07 people have been obsessed with numbers like 9/10/11," said Jane Billingsley of the Chapel Event Venue.Billingsley has been helping couples take the plunge for 22 years."They seem to think they'll be luckier and they'll have a better chance at love and life," Billingsley added. For the newlyweds, the allure of 12/12/12 is outshined by the prospect of spending the rest of their lives together."We didn't know it was a lucky day, but we knew it was a significant day and we knew it was special," said Cory Horton."It's a once in a lifetime date," Alexis Horton added, "but I think the most important thing is that our marriage is more than just the date."While the next 12/12/12 won't occur for a century, love struck number-crunchers might want to save-the-date for the next big wedding day, 11/12/13.
