3 MTSU employees busted in marijuana grow operation
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -
Murfreesboro police say an underage drinking citation led them to a marijuana grow operation.
An officer saw a man staggering in the middle of the road on Crestland Avenue on Monday. The officer stopped Addison Depauw to give him a citation and drive him home.
When the officer got to the house, the officer asked if he could go inside the home. Depauw and his two roommates gave him permission to search the house. The officer saw a dry erase board with a list, titled, "Things to Do." One of the things listed was "weed plant." The officer found two marijuana plants in the house. He also found several pipes and other drug paraphernalia.
The officer arrested Depauw and his two roommates, Sean Sparacino and James Higgins. All three face charges for manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance.
All three are employed by MTSU, according to police reports.
