Murfreesboro man charged with raping 12-year-old girl

Ryan Taylor, 21, was indicted last week for the rape of a child and aggravated sexual battery.

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -

Police arrested a 21-year-old Murfreesboro man last week on charges he raped a 12-year-old girl.

The alleged assault happened over the summer while the victim was in town visiting, police said.

According to the arrest report, Ryan Taylor pulled the girl into a bathroom and forced her to have sex with him.

Taylor was arrested last Thursday after he was indicted by a Rutherford County grand jury on charges of child rape and aggravated sexual battery.

He was booked into the Rutherford County jail on a $150,000 bond.
