A woman police say nearly struck a Franklin officer with her vehicle during a getaway is now behind bars. The incident occurred at Cool Springs Galleria on Saturday. According to police, officers were helping mall security with the apprehension of three female shoplifters who were trying to flee. A plainclothes officer spotted the suspects and stepped in front of the women's parked car. Despite identifying himself as a police officer and ordering the suspects from the vehicle, police said the driver of the car, Dabney Frey, put the car into drive and advanced on the officer. The officer, whose identity was not released, had to move out of the 24-year-old's path to avoid being hit. Frey is charged with aggravated assault. She was booked into the Williamson County jail on a $20,000 bond.
