Man ejected in Clarksville crash dies from injuries

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -

A 26-year-old man died after being ejected from his vehicle early Sunday morning in Clarksville.

The accident happened at the intersection of Trenton Road and 101st Parkway just after Midnight when the driver of a pickup truck failed to yield and struck the victim's Honda.

Police said the driver of the Honda, Tegan Papageorge, was not wearing a seatbelt and was partially ejected through the windshield.

Papageorge was transported to Gateway Medical Center where he died.

The driver of the pickup truck, 23-year-old Kristen Miller, was also transported to Gateway Medical for non-life threatening injuries.

Police said the crash is the 16th fatal crash this year in Clarksville. The city averages 11 a year.

Police said Monday the investigation is ongoing and charges are pending.
