NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
Interstate 40 East has reopened in Nashville after crews responded to a diesel spill early Sunday morning.
The spill occurred at mile marker 210 around 4:45 a.m. after a tractor trailer caught on fire.
While there were no injuries, the interstate was shut down for nearly eight hours.
Police said a large amount of diesel fuel spilled onto the roadway.
The roadway remained dusty, causing some delays.
Authorities urged drivers to use extra caution.
