NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
A man armed with a shotgun on his back patio kept police at bay Saturday morning for nearly two hours before finally surrendering.
The incident happened on Kipling Drive off of Briley Parkway.
Metro police told Nashville's News 2 the incident began as a dispute around 3 a.m. When authorities arrived, the man threatened to kill himself.
SWAT team members and negotiators were called in to assist police.
The man gave himself up to police while the SWAT team was getting in position.
No other details were immediately available.
