Rutherford County woman sells meds paid for by TennCare

A Rutherford County woman has been charged with TennCare fraud after she used the state's healthcare insurance program to obtain prescription drugs, which she later sold.
Vanessa Wilson faces multiple charges including two counts of sale of Schedule IV controlled substance and sale of a Schedule III drug in or near a school zone.
Authorities said the 40-year-old woman used TennCare benefits to obtain the painkiller Hydrocodone. In addition to selling drugs paid for by TennCare she is also charged with selling the anti-anxiety medication Alprazolam.
If convicted, Wilson could be sentenced up to six years in prison.
