Overton County Schools closed Monday for illness

LIVINGSTON Tenn. -

Overton County schools will be closed on Monday due to illness.

Schools Director Matt Eldridge says the district is at a 15% absentee rate.

He said students and teachers are out sick with illnesses such as upper respiratory infections, the flu and strep throat.

School is scheduled to resume on Tuesday.
