Former cheerleading coach charged with soliciting minor

SMITH COUNTY, Tenn. -

A former high school cheerleading coach was taken into custody on Tuesday on one charge of soliciting a minor.

According to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Sabra Gentry allegedly sent sexually explicit text messages and had sexually explicit conversations with a minor last month.

The 35-year-old woman was indicted by a grand jury and was booked into the Smith County jail following an investigation.

Gentry formerly worked as the cheerleading coach at Smith County High.

No additional information was released.
