The Goodlettsville All-Stars will serve as the grand marshal of the upcoming 2012 Piedmont Nature Gas Nashville Christmas Parade.
The little league team competed in the Little League World Series in August. The team fell short to Japan 12-2.
"We are honored to have these young men serve as our grand marshal for this year's parade," said Stephen Francescon, Community Relations Manager, Tennessee, Piedmont Natural Gas. "The excitement from their World Series run was contagious for everyone across the state and they're a great example of what can be accomplished through hard work, dedication and a team-focused attitude."
Nashville Mayor Karl Dean added, "Nashville is proud to celebrate the Goodlettsville team and its accomplishments as part of this year's parade."
Friday night's festivities will begin at 6:30 p.m. with the lighting of the city's Christmas tree.
The 60th annual parade will begin at 7 p.m. at the Public Square and travel down 2nd Avenue and up to Broadway to 9th Avenue.
