Wilson County schools director announces resignation

LEBANON, Tenn. -
Wilson County Schools Director Mike Davis announced his resignation during Monday night's regularly scheduled board meeting.
"It has truly been an honor and a privilege to serve as the Director of School for Wilson County. The Wilson school system has made great progress during the past six years due the hard work and dedication of many excellent teachers, support staff and the Wilson County Commission."
He continued, "Our children are very fortunate to learn from these dedicated employees who care deeply about the safety and success of every single child."
Davis said he will fulfill his contract which expires in June, but will not seek out a contract renewal.
