Vanderbilt to play in Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Vanderbilt athletics announced on its Web site Sunday that the football team will play in the Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl.

The New Year's Eve game will be played at LP Field.

Vanderbilt's opponent has yet to be announced, though it will be an Atlantic Coast Conference team.

The team also announced head coach James Franklin has agreed to terms on a new contract.

The terms of the deal are expected to be released later Sunday night.
