Woman, 30, dies after being struck by car

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

A woman critically injured after she was hit by a car in Germantown Friday night has died.

Metro police said Regina Waters, 30, died late Tuesday afternoon.

Waters was struck as she crossed Rosa Parks Boulevard near Monroe Street around 7:30 p.m. Friday.

Police said it does not appear that the driver who hit Waters, 81-year-old Martha Ward, could've avoided her.

No charges have been placed.

Police said the collision remains under investigation.
