NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Nashville has been voted the friendliest city in the nation from a survey conducted by Travel+Leisure magazine.

The magazine annually asks for feedback from readers of the magazine and frequent travelers.

In November, the magazine released its "America's Favorite Cities" list.

Nashville, not only received top rankings for being the friendliest city, but also for wireless coverage and overall people.

Music City also ranked number two for its music scene, safety and affordability and sixth for the most attractive people and best city for people watching.

Travel+Leisure combined the rankings and determined that Nashville is the third best city in the nation.

Joyce Powell, who volunteers as a greeter at the Nashville International Airport said she is not surprised by the top rankings.

"It represents Nashville and everyone remembers if you're not nice," she said.

Nashville's News 2 spoke with tourist Neal Powell who is visiting Nashville with his wife Angela from North Carolina.

"Everybody's talked to us, everybody's greeted us. Everybody's been nice as they could be," Neal Powell said.
