The Goodlettsville All-Stars are hosting a spaghetti dinner this weekend in an effort to raise money to for a trip to Uganda.
The dinner will be held on Saturday at the Goodlettsville Community Center beginning at 6 p.m.
Admission is $10 per person or $30 per family.
The team is working to raise $200,000 to play baseball with the Uganda team, who they became close to while competing in the Little League World Series.
While in Uganda, team manager Joey Hale said he hopes to improve their fields, provide transportation for players and present scholarships.
Hale added he also wants the trip to serve as a learning opportunity for his players.
"When we go over [to Uganda], our kids are going to be impacted by, wow, we really do have it good back home, we need to be thankful for what we have because we are blessed, and here I am thinking about what we don't have when these kids don't have half the things I take for granted," he said.
The Goodlettsville All-Stars competed in the Little League World Series in August. The team fell short to Japan 12-2.
