Sheriff’s deputy, 2 others injured in Lawrence County crash

LAWRENCE COUNTY, Tenn. -

A Lawrence County sheriff's deputy was injured in a crash Wednesday evening as he was attempting to respond to a call.

The accident occurred just before 6 p.m. on Highway 64 West at Robertson Road.

According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Deputy Charles Smith was traveling westbound when he was struck by another vehicle that was attempting to make a right turn onto Robertson Road.

The driver of the other vehicle, Floyd Price, 72, and his passenger, Glenda Price, 69, were also injured.

All three patients were airlifted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.

Their conditions were not immediately known.
