CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -
Clarksville police seized $30,000 from a Chattanooga man during a
traffic stop on Thursday.
A Clarksville police officer stopped Logan Blakely, 21, after he
was stopped at a green light. The officer found Blakely passed out with the
engine running.
According to a release, the officer smelled alcohol and Blakely
was unsteady while standing. Blakely later failed a field sobriety test and was
taken into custody.
The arresting officer also found a metal pipe, marijuana, rolling
papers and a sealed freezer bag.
Inside the freezer bag, the officers found $30,000 cash inside
that Blakely had received from selling drugs.
Blakely was ultimately charged with DUI, simple possession and
unlawful drug paraphernalia.
