Barricaded suspect eludes Metro police

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Metro police are searching for a man who was believed to be barricaded inside a west Nashville apartment late Wednesday night.

Officers were called to an apartment on Cougar Lane around 11:30 p.m. after a woman reported her husband fired a gun at her inside their home.

The woman and a child were able to escape without injury.

Police discovered when they entered the home early Thursday morning the man was not inside the residence.

The investigation is ongoing.
