2 injured in north Nashville shooting

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Metro police are continuing to investigate after two people were shot in north Nashville Wednesday afternoon.

The shooting was reported near the 1800 block of 16th Avenue North, near Herman Street.

Police told Nashville's News 2 one of the victims was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

The second victim was found a short distance away from the scene. He was transported to Nashville General Hospital in a personal vehicle.

Both men sustained non-life threatening injuries.

No additional information was immediately released.
