Disabled man attacked, robbed


Metro police are searching for two suspects who forced their way into a disabled man's home, injured him and then robbed him late Tuesday night.

This happened just before 12 a.m., Midnight at the Valleybrook Town Homes on Zermatt Avenue off of Old Hickory Boulevard in south Nashville.

Police said two men knocked on the victim's door. When the man opened the door, the suspects forced their way inside and a scuffle began.  

The victim received minor injuries and he was taken to the hospital as a precaution.  

According to police, the robbers got away with some small, personal items including Xanax.

A K-9 unit searched the area and was unsuccessful.

The investigation is ongoing.
